Omicron is spreading pretty quickly and that may be because many don’t even know they have it. It all starts with a cold, as is the case with many common diseases … but it gets worse.
While Omicron is apparently not as strict as the previous variants, like the Delta variant, it leaves a lot of people in the lurch. It affects the vaccinated and unvaccinated and leaves no one safe from the new variant.

OMICRON MAKE PEOPLE ASK THEY ARE REALLY SERIOUS?
As reported by IOLMany do not take this variant as seriously as the previous one due to its supposedly mild nature.
While with the previous variants it was easy to tell if you had the coronavirus, Omicron has made many not sure exactly what disease they have … or even if they have any disease at all.
Emily Landon, the lead infectious disease epidemiologist at the University of Chicago Medicine, claims this is the most difficult thing to detect without actual testing.
“Symptom grids and graphs can easily lead people to wrong conclusions, such as believing that their symptoms only fall into the category of a common cold, not the coronavirus. It’s a verification bug. The symptoms are now like a Venn diagram in which all circles overlap. ”

WHAT ARE THE MOST COMMON SYMPTOMS OF OMICRON AND WHY SHOULD THEY BE TESTED?
Most of the people who got infected with the Omicron variant thought they just had the flu, a cold, or even something as mild as hay fever … but then they tested and found it was the coronavirus.

“In contrast to earlier worrying variants like Delta, Omicron has a higher affinity for the epithelium of the upper respiratory tract. It’s more likely that people sniff more, sneeze more, or are constipated. “

Philip J Landrigan, a pediatrician, public health doctor, and epidemiologist at Boston College, urges people to get tested. People are much more relaxed and that’s why the new variant is spreading so quickly.
“The reason to get tested now is for your own peace of mind, but an even more important reason is when you go to a meeting and there are vulnerable people. If you attend such a gathering, it is not about yourself, but about protecting the people around you. “
