EFF leader Julius Malema has made his position clear on the subject of land grabbing in the Free State and supports the people who have decided to illegally occupy land near the city of Mooidraai.
Julius Malema supports the land grab of the Free State
During a campaign rally on Sunday, Malema reiterated that the land “belongs to all of us” and encouraged those who break the law by living in illegal settlements to continue breaking the rules and regulations.
Land and jobs are two of the EFF’s major campaign focuses. The Red Berets continue to campaign for the implementation of the non-compensatory expropriation model, but also support alternative ways of securing land for the disadvantaged. However, promoting this land grab could get Julius Malema into trouble.
EFF says people have to take the land issue into their own hands
The 40-year-old has never given up his office, on Sunday his rhetoric boomed again. He told the participants that all houses built in Mooidraai must be flushed with a toilet – otherwise they are not “real houses”.
“You still have to occupy land here. We will never let go of this place. It’s ours. Our children’s homes are there. Every house must have a flush toilet. If there isn’t a flush toilet, it’s not a real house. “
“They turn us no into animals. We are no different from animals. We have to be different from animals because we are human. We must be treated with respect. “ | Julius Malema
Free State: Julius Malema visits a resident’s house
Malema made these comments shortly after visiting a local resident who revealed that sewage had entered her home – but the local community refused to help “Koko” with her dilemma.
