People all over the world are struggling with weight loss and will do almost anything to shed a few pounds. The latest weight loss hack of adding lemon to coffee has gone viral as many social media users share clips on how to use it to reduce it.
Judging from the many amazing changes we are seeing online, it is easy to understand why so many people are now resorting to the sour drink to shed stubborn fat.
According to an article by New Zealand Herald, lemony coffee is not the way to go. In an interview with the publication, health coach and nutrition trainer Heide Hauer reveals why this brew doesn’t work.

“First of all, let’s not believe that there is a magic drink for weight loss. It just doesn’t exist. “
“The most effective and sustainable way to lose pounds is to take a holistic view of your diet and lifestyle. Instead of putting all hopes in one drink, focus on reducing the sugar in your diet, increasing the number of vegetables, especially greens, getting regular exercise, relieving stress, etc.
She adds that coffee and lemon both have health benefits, but mixing them doesn’t mean they’ll work any better. In their opinion, it shouldn’t be viewed as a method that works for everyone as not everyone gets the same results.
“What works for one can even have the opposite effect for the other.
“Both lemon and coffee have proven benefits, but mixing them together doesn’t produce any stronger effects.”
